Conclusion:

After completing the CSI WebQuest you will have a better idea of why cemeteries are an excellent source of historical and scientific information as well as why it is important to preserve the past.  Understanding that a cemetery is more than just a graveyard is a key theme to the CSI WebQuest. You have now assisted your community in evaluating the condition of a local cemetery as well as helping to document multiple aspects of the cemetery. The quest for knowledge is not over, though.  If you would like to learn more about cemetery preservation or to compare your findings with others, please visit the Resources page and compare your findings to those of other classes in other parts of the US and/or world.

At the conclusion of the project you will:

  1. Regroup and finish K W L , what you've Learned as well as VERIFY that what you stated under "K- know" was actually correct. If it was correct, place a star by it. If the information was incorrect then cross it out and rewrite the correct facts above or below it.
  2. Regroup and revise your 3-D models of cemeteries and update the models with the new information that you learned. Photograph the models and add them to your presentation.
  3. Present your findings to the class with the option of presenting it to other classes, historical societies, and other community groups.
  4. Complete the rubrics used for evaluating the project and your involvement in the project as well as the actual product itself.  Visit the evaluations page for the rubrics used in the CSI WebQuest project.
  5. OPTIONAL:  E-mail the folks at The Geo-Literacy Project and ask them to link to your site or to host your web site (they will do this for free!)
  6. OPTIONAL: Compare your findings with those of another cemetery within your community, another school's CSI project web site, or with a cemetery that has a reasonable amount of information available online.

PLEASE LET THE PEOPLE AT THE GEO-LITERACY PROJECT KNOW THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED THEIR WEBQUEST BY EMAILING THEM A QUITE NOTE WITH A WEB LINK OR OTHER CONTACT INFORMATION!
